Our lives have been upended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is much uncertainty and concern, eroding security, and even fear about what the future holds.
However, we have reassurance and hope in two things:
First, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear. (Psalm 46 :1,2)
Secondly, our school, the South Shore SDA School, has continued to meet students’ educational needs, without interruption, during this pandemic.
While other school systems took an extended time to provide educational options for their students; South Shore SDA School transitioned immediately to remote learning!
Other school systems have not engaged all their students; South Shore SDA School has 100% student participation in the virtual learning process.
As we look toward the future and possible changes in the delivery of education and class sizes, South Shore SDA School remains the ideal choice.
(1) Our low student to teacher ratio will facilitate social distancing and limit possible exposure to the virus should resurgence occur.
(2) Our technology resources (1:1 iPads and online learning platforms) will ensure total student engagement and participation should quarantining be necessary in the Fall and/or Winter.
(3) Our focus on a Christian education provides resources that equip students with coping strategies and provide hope, stability and optimism for the future.
